The perfect white T shirt, where can it be found?

miscalAs a man one item of clothing will always be relevant, many men may not need to wear suits, many men veer away from jeans, other prefer not to touch casual wear, some who may not have particularly active lives, or who specifically favour one sport which involves a uniform would not indulge in sportswear.  However it can be said without fearing falling headfirst into the deadly trap of generalization, that all men need a good white t-shirt.

Some people literally live in them, with a different one each day, many men have taken the t-shirt, jeans and trainers to be a sort of urban uniform for anything that is not work, men who wear suits would use one in colder months as an undershirt, even in religions such as islam where modern dress is not acceptable, a t-shirt is an undergarment.

So if every man needs one, which is the best, that is to say the most flattering and high quality for relatively good value option?  This we will attempt to answer by offering a selection of a few choice T-shirt selections.

Sunspel standard white cotton t shirt - With 100 years of heritage this british brand, has established itself as a premier supplier of undergarments for gents and laterally ladies.  Responsible for manufacturing the polo shirt that was worn by Daniel Craig's new 'sporty' James Bond Incarnation.  priced at around £40 it the quality of the cotton is exceptionally high, and suits larger frames with longer body's as they tend to be cut longer than the average t shirt.

American Apparel 2001 - This has ben regarded by a wide ranging number of people as THE t shirt, produced by a LA based maker of Garments American Apparel, they stress their vertically integrated manufacturing processes, and seem to consider themselves as both moral and profitable.  Achingly hip they can be found pretty much only in the most fashionable areas of London, there is not even a store on Oxford Street, and considering they sell their t shirt for around £11 it is surprising they cannot be found alongside the likes of zara and topman.  what makes the 2001 (model number) t shirt so special is, they have spent an inordinate amount of time on all the measurements to ensure the optimum fit not only in the chest and length, but also the waist, arm etc.

James Perse classic white t shirt - Another California based brand eager to stress how 'different' it is, discusses more the character of its founder than the quality of the product of processes, they are quite proud of their t shirt though, which they claim they have put a lot of work into, suffice to say they are sold in the UK only in Harvey Nichols and are priced at £36
