100th Anniversary blog! 10 100 anniversary items for your perusal.

After almost 1 year and no small amount of effort, my little blog has reached 100 posts, in that space of time my blog has become our blog, as it is now contributed to regularly by 1 other individual, and the door is more than open for others who have a passion and interest in writing and luxury goods to come and join the dissapear here crew.

So whats changed since day one?  A clear direction, at first it seemed to be just a blog for random thoughts and musings, but since my primary interest is Luxury goods it has formed into writing about just that, with the occasional random thought chucked in here and there.  Contributors have ben a major change, someone who was interested enough (or desperate enough) to want to also write the occasional article have boosted my (sorry our) blog up to the 100 mark in record time.  layout has been another big change, streamlining down to the simplicitic form that it is now rather than the mess at the start.  And the name, initially it was called Age of Reason, however the Jean-Paul-Sarte reference seemed both too obscure and too pretentious so it has been changed to Disappear Here, less obscure perhaps but less pretentious?

And what changes would we like to see in the future?  Perhaps another name change, Disappear here still feels too obscure and pretentious.  Possibly changing to our own site when we have found an appropriate name and domain name for it.  And getting more collaborators and readers.  One thing which has surprised/dissapointed us is the seeming lack of followers, although we are getting personal emails and comments, people do not seem that interested in following us, which we would like to see changed.

Well thats it, happy 100th anniversary, and continuing the anniversary spirit set out in these pages, here is a random selection of ten 100th anniversary products, see you soon hopefully at the next lankmark - 250th anniversary post!

Hublot for Selfridges Big Bang Chronograph 100th Anniversary Watch - £11,000 - In 2008 Selfridges Celebrated their 100th Anniversary and to commemorate it they released a range of products as collaborations with high end brands, most of which were pretty risable, including a yellow bottle of coca cola!

Davidoff Prestige 100th Anniversary Lighter - £1000 - In 2006 Zino Davidoff would have been 100 years old, if not for the fact that he died in 1994, irregardless of this fact the Davidoff brand produced this special edition lighter from black enamel and platinum plate. Limited to only 400 pieces Worldwide and featuring Zino Davidoff's signature on on side embossed in platinum.

Ermengildo Zenga Centennial Watch by Girard Perregaux - £21,000 - This year Ermengildo Zegna celebrated their 100th Anniversary, to commemorate this, they Collaborated with the swiss Watch maker Girard Perregaux tp produce a limited edition of 100 pieces of this wistwatch.

The Perragaux brand was chosen apparently due to the connection between the Zegna family and the current owner of Perregaux Macaluso, and the significance of a WristWatch is linked to the fact that The founder of Zegna's Father was a Watchmaker.

The Wristwatch is a model from Perregaux's 1966 collection, the dial features no reference to Girard only Zegna, and the Zegna centennial crest etched on the transparent glass back.

Harley Davidson V-Rod Two tone - £25,000 - To commemorate the 2003 100th anniversary of the Harley Davidson Company, they produced this special edition version of the powerful V-Rod Grand Tourer edition Motorbike.

Second hand models can now be picked up, but are very sought after, and prices are generally still the high side of £15,000 for average condition models.

Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centeniare Edition - £1.1 Million - Aside from the Luxury Wristwatch already mentioned in this post, Bugatti also produced a limited edition model of its Veyron Automobile when celebrating it 2009 centenary.

Being as it is that the veyron features a 987bhp engine, souping that up seems somewhat redundant, therefore it features a very special edition paint job.  Painted in the company's Bugatti blue, with a combination of Matt and gloss paint jobs, and a few small extra details, such as LED lights, parking sensors and a rear view camera, and limited to a run of 300, 250 of which were sold before the first one was built.
