The previously announced BeoPlay range has expanded with three digital music products, the A3 dock for the New Ipod, the A8 Airplay version of the BeoSound A8, and the V1 integrated Television Unit.
The A3 is an unusual departure from normal B&O products, as it is specifically for the Ipad only, this is unusual as B&) normally produces technoloy which seamlessly integrates with its other kit, and contains multiple functionality, this is a standalone device, allowing the iPad to become a movie screen with excellent speakers, designed to be leaned at different angles, not quite the usual winning Bang & Olufsen product, and irritatingly pricey at £449, unjustifiably so we would say.
With the BeoPlay A8 Bang & Olufsen have made another unexpected and fresh move, they have listened to peoples opinions, the Beosound A8 is a great product, elegant and unusual, it stands head and shoulders above most other 'normal' speaker docks, with its remarkable sound quality, and design, however, from day one the cry has been "I have to plug it in 2 use it?" why no wireless? why no Airplay?, the A8 rectifies this glaring flaw, so you have everything the A8 had, with a concealed dock, and wireless music sending, all for £950.
Finally the V1, a connected digital television from Bang & Olufsen, designed to be an affordable television for consumers who want to purchase a Bang & Olufsen Television, it 32 and 40 inch sizes it has DNLA< 5 HDMI ports, USB, 5.1 surround sound integrated, and bluetooth, costing £1800 for 32" and £2500 for 40".
