Suzaku Premium Sake From Gekkeikan.

The premium spirits craze which has absorbed such diverse spirits as even the mothers ruin that is Gin, looks set to also revitalise the Sake market.  to some extent Sake may already be regarded as a premium alcohol product.  Certain rare Sake's can cost hundreds of pounds each.  However, the premium cachet, that glow or allure which is exuded from a bottle of Grey-Goose is conspicuously absent from the Sake market.

The House Of Gekkeikan may be intending to change this state of affairs.  And who better than a brand founded by the Okura family in 1637?  For almost 400 years they have produced a diverse range of mid-range and premium Sake's.  And now with their new release, the Suzaku sake, they wish to coat their products in the gleam of marketing which is the premium alcohol market.

The new product costs £20 per bottle, which as any Sake afficionado will tell you is not particularly expensive for a good Sake.  The concoction is made from fresh spring water, yeast, koji and the finest rice, and apparently goes through a special fermentation process to be produced.
