Nike Air Max 90 25th Anniversary Collection.

In case anyone failed to notice, what with the constant campaigns and blog articles, 2015 is the 25th anniversary year of the Nike Air Max 90.  The clue being in the "90" part of the product name.  Sarcasm aside, this iconic shoe has been at the forefront of streetwear and edgy cool for two decades, and to commemorate this, Nike have launched 6 limited edition versions of the shoe.

As well as the special edition cork teased and mentioned by us a couple of months ago, there will be a velvet version, and lizard effect model, a multicolour one, croc effect style, and a grey version of the popular paisley suit and tie style.

Frankly, aside from the unusual cork version, these all look pretty ugly to us.  Certainly they are into the realms of luxry, starting from £165 for any of the versions, however, aside from collectors and serious sneaker heads, the appeal seems limited, and none of the styles particularly wearable.

If you disagree, all versions will be available from April 5th.
