With it's novelty ultra-luxury wristwatches, Romain Jerome appears to be shaping itself as an Alain Silbertien for the latter-day ultra rich. Following on from the Space Invaders timepiece released in the last two years, Romain Jerome have now opted to release a limited edition Super Mario Bros watch to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the classic games release.
Combining traditional swiss craftsmanship with the pop-cultural icons most memorable moments, each timepiece features Mario, a cloud, some green grass, and a mushroom. All aesthetic details have been put onto the black dial of a 46mm case, and they are limited to 85 pieces, to commemorate the year of the games release, 1985.
The watches are available now, priced at £14,500 per edition.
