Frette essentials or plain range appears to have been discontinued

Frette producer of fine Linens since 1860 seem to have discontinued their plain basics sheeting and replaced it with the 'essentials' or doppio ajour range which appears to have the same thread count (280) but features a double hem stitching around the border, a nice touch.

Don't know when they did this, I discovered this from Frette's Harrods Concession, and a all to head office confirmed this, from the sales ladys attitude it doesn't sound recent. It is a bit of a pity in my opinion, Pratesi stopped producing plain sheeting a long time ago, and not being able to get a nice simple plain bed sheet as a basic staple, or in between for part of a larger and more elaborate setup as a plain contrast element.
