Louis Vuitton Bang Olufsen Nomade Cases. Someone didn't get the memo?

Now it is fully appreciated that when 2 great brands such as Bang and Olufsen and Louis Vuitton Collaborate their products can stand the test of time in some cases (no pun intended), however this may not necessarily be one of those situations.

By their very nature small gadgets such as Mp3 players and Mobile Phones are transient, lasting a maximum a year before being discontinued, at the upper echelons of Luxury Technology these devices may be expected to go on for as long a year.  The frankly Risable Bang Olufsen Phones lasted far longer than they should have, and have now all been presumably chucked on a skip in Milton Keynes or somewhere and set Fire to (without the batteries of course that would be dangerous), and the excellent beosound 2 lasted some 6 years, far longer than any other SD card-maximum 2GB capacity Mp3 player has a right to last.

They are now however firmly discontinued, stores may have a couple left in stock wich they will try -unsecessfully no doubt- to sell, but they have been discontinued since last august, and are now down from the website.

However strangely Louis Vuitton seem not to have gotten the message yet, they still sell all the leather cases for the Serene, Beosound 2 and serenata, and are continuing to adjust the prices of these in line with their standard inflation/profit price increases year on year.

This is a strange decision for Louis Vuitton, they are normally right out there on the edge, even the bleeding edge, when it comes to luxury Technology Acessories, they were the first to release a luxury ipad case, before even the Ipad was released they already had one coming soon on their online store, and they tend to discontinue obsolete technology accessories farely quickly, ie the blackberry cases for discontinued models are likewise discontinued, perhaps it is because the high price of the Nomade range makes disposing of theis range a painful wrench, either way they are not yet gone, so if you are one of the very unfortunate people who use a serene and are DESPERATE to own a case that 'speaks' to you, then head over to Louis Vuitton now, or later, they probably will still be selling them later.
