Jimmy choo dip their toe back into the mens shoe market with a ne range . . .

it is some nine years since the business part of jimmy choo made the decision to discontinue its mens shoe line due to sales figures that were firstly dwarfed by the womens ranges so dramatically, and secondly because the sales figures were so miniscule they did not justify production costs, and so, like sergio rossi that italian staple of elegant footwear, they discontinued mens shoes in the summer of 2002.

since then however Jimmy choo have followed the high street cash in route and discovered. that by collaborating with h€€ and m, not only do they get a big wadge of cash, they found the mens shoes were in fact very popluar, this realisation has led them to, design, and now announce the release of, a mens footwear range.

the range will be released for the autumn/winter 2011 collection, and will feature biker boots, smart boots, slip ons, formal shoes and home slipper, being pretty comprehemsive.

they have not announced pricing information yet, however if they follow the womens shoe pricing model, it should be expected that we will pay around 300 - 600 for the shoes.

additionally they will be introducing an element of exclusivity by only allowing the main jimmy choo boutiques and very high end department stores such as harrods in the uk and bergdof goodman in the us, good luck for all those interested, you have a bit of a wait ahaed and something to look forwards too.
