A few months back Hermes announced their intention to develop and release a collection of furniture pieces to compliment its existing ranges of homewares, and in a sense fully close the circle by offering every conceivable luxury homeware product with hermes branding.
The furniture collection has now been officially announced and will comprise initially of a few key items such as a 3 piece suite, lounger, coffee table and tressel table, a range no doubt that will later be extended.
According to Hermes the designs are based on work by Jean Michael-Frank in 1924, they have been designed to be minimal yet elegant, and will most significantly be produced entirely from either Hermes much sought after Leathers, Exotics such as Shagreen, or Straw Marquetry.
