Valextra looses its solid foothold in the UK leaves Harrods Room of Luxury

Valextra it appears have not had quite so successful a time in the United Kingdom, revamped and brought bang up to date about 10 years ago, it has been propelled from being a tradtastic Italian Brand with a one particularly iconic piece, to being a genuine contender in the world luxury market.  Boutiques in every major city are a natural follow on from this and Harrods was the location for valextra's first toe0dipping into the UK's waters.

However as of some 6 months ago now, they have lost their dedicated boutique Harrods Room of Luxury, just as Tanner Krolle before them they have been relegated to a small area on the luggage section, and presumably when the stock is sold will also no longer be sold there.

Not having a UK presence is not necessarily something which precludes the success of the brand itself, after all Goyard was not available to buy in the UK like ever until their new store opened last year, and they did very well thank-you very much.  It doesnt however speak very well of the brand if they don't manage to make an impression with a position in Harrods Room of Luxury.

It is extremely unlikely this sounds the Death Nell for Valexta, they are still very comfortably moving in the upper eschelons of the luxury good market, however it does mean tat they won't be available in London pretty soon.
