Tod's New Boat shoe build on the success of their driving shoe and add's a rigid rubber sole.

Any long term reader with us would know we are not massive fans of Tod's after sales service.  A particularly popular post here describes in detail their extremely shoddy policy regards when a shoe requires resoling.

However they do have a confirmed winner with their driving shoe, a simple and elegant copy of the car shoe, it manages to work, and to reiterate our earlier statement, only a moron would expect a driving shoe to be resoled, they are strictly throw away items.  As are boat shoes.

Therefore we are happy to be able to discuss Tod's new Boat shoe, pictured above in blue suede, and available now in a variety of shades for £300, known as the hyannisport shoe for men and the marlin for women.

Here at dissappear here however we like to give yo more information than you need, so you can always be more informed than the next man, therefore we can report that the solid rubber soled shoe is not a new innovation from tods's in any way, they have been experimenting with various different styles for some time now, for example these rather ugly boaty-rather-than-boat shoes pictured below are the hyannisport shoe from two seasons ago, available only in america.  As you may see the sole is one solid piece and it features a penny loafer upper, therefore the new version represents a refinement rather than an innovation, combining the driving shoe upper with a solid white rubber sole.
