Vilebrequin 40th Anniversary celebrated with the release of a special edition £300 Trunk.

To celebrate their 40th Anniversary, luxury swim and beach-wear maker Vilebrequin has produced a limited edition version of their Iconic Moorea Trunk.

First thing that needs to be mentioned is the price, at £300 they exceed the standard Vilebrquin pricing considerably, indeed they are 2.5 time more expensive than the standard pair of Vilbrequin trunk's.  Ordinarily in a limited edition anniversary type product this would not be a major problem, as we would be able to sing the praises of the special quick drying polyamide fabric, or the zamak plated hardware, or even the waterproof back pocket.  Thing is all these features are on the standard Moorea range trunk from Vilebrequin already.

In reality this particular limited edition is asking a premium price for the exclusivity, only 2100 pairs made, and the printing technique, apparently a specialised inkjet photography method of applying the patchwork quilt image, which has little shots of all the iconic designs from Vilebrequins back catalogue on the one trunk.
