Lanvin's new Boat shoe for 2011.

Lanvin's re-invention has produced some absolute gems for the world of fashion, footwear has been the area they have shined in the most however, their hi-top and mid-top shoes becoming so hands down iconic that they have ended up being the embroidered logo on their polo shirts.

As well as reinventing the hi-top for the luxury world, Lanvin have also taken a more than respectable stab at the Boat shoe, their first attempt is shown below, which was released in 2010, we see the chunky white sole that has made Lanvin so popular, combined with minimalist details, and as an extra treat, laces that in fact do not need doing up, the boat shoe style is always endlessly annoying for this reason, the laces are always coming undone, plus its a nice little visual detail on closer inspection.

This Season Lanvin have re-issued this new style of boat shoe with the same chunky white sole, but have abandoned both the canvas body and gone for suede, and the self tie lace, traditional laces are used here.  along with patent details this is closer to the luxury of the Lanvin Hi-tops than the initial re-issue of the boat shoe.
