Smythson's seasonal collections are a well known fixture now, their colourful choices, along with an unusual dedication to faux leather means people who like to regularly change their blotters, notebooks or purses have something to look forward to.

For 2012, Smythson have released two collections, the first is called 'Lapis' and a selection of its products can be seen below, essentially it is faux lizard print, in a deep blue, hence the moniker lapis, as in lapis lazuli.

Next up we have Smythson's other contribution to the colder months, the 'Peridot' collection as the lapis named after a semi precious stone, from which it gains it colouring, and again faux animal print, on this occasion Ostrich Foot.
