Gucci Open their first Children's only store in New York.

Gucci this week threw the doors open on its first store dedicated exclusively to children's clothing, in a move which further cemented the brands pursuit of the ever growing luxury children's market, which as we reported here has seen serious uber luxury brands such as Loro Piana producing children's collections.

The 1450 square foot store wil be entirely dedicated to children's-wear, with collections for boys and girls, babies, toddlers and ages right up to early teens catered for.

Choice pieces which display both the market for conspicuous consumption amongst parents of the super-rich, and the ridiculous extent that they may go to, can be found with the jeans, which start from £180 per pair, the two piece onesie sets which start from £140, the winter coats from £550, the faux leather dresses for £450 each, the girls first gucci bags for £750 each, and, the piece de la resistance, the above pink leather biker jacket for an eye watering £2500.
