Quite how this managed to slip under our collective radars is a mystery, however, mysteriously overlooked, this rather adventurous piece from Ralph Lauren was released at BaselWorld, and promptly ignored.
The "867' Watch is named after not one, but to things, the address of its Madison avenue store, and, the number of diamonds which adorn it's rather lovely, feminine and diminutive case.
Perhaps taking something fromt the current Gatsby craze, or perhaps from Ralph Lauren's constant love of glamour and art deco expressionism, the 867 watch looks like it dropped off the wrist of a 1920's debutante, through a time warp, and into the Ralph Lauren watch collection.
The Watch features, as stated, 867 diamonds, round, baguette, and brilliant cut, amounting to 24,70 carats,, and all encrusting a square, 18kt white gold case, with a white opaline dial, and simple, bold arabic numerals, all placed round the caliber RL430 manual wind movement, which surprisingly provides a 40 hour power reserve.
No price yet, but expect north of £25k.
