Timber Tones Platinum, Gold, Palladium & Silver Plectrums.

This luxury iteration of the humble plectrum needs little explanation, it is after not a huge leap of the imagination to grasp that any item having been made in precious metals is just that, an item made from precious metals, and in context, many artist have historically had custom made plectrums from solid gold, encrusted with diamonds, or various other gemstones, one Australian for example makes a plectrum from shards of meteorite.

However, it is fair to say that this new release from Timber Tones is exceptional for being the most expensive production made plectrum ever produced, grafted by UK based Goldsmiths, and hallmarked by London's Assay office, these plectrums range from £100 for a Sterling Silver model, to £3,700 for solid gold, to a ceiling of £5000 for the Platinum model, thereby exceeding even the £3500 price tag asked of the aforementioned meteorite plectrum.

If this sort of thing is your sort of thing, head over to www.timber-tones.com and check out their selection, you may even like some of their other options, including solid wood plectrums made from exotic woods starting as low as £16.
