It is becoming harder and harder to choose the right Tom Ford scent for you individually, mainly because they are all so damn good, however, if you have a desire to purchase something from his private blend collection, it is yet more difficult still, a dazzling array of scents which just seem to expand and expand, now, this latest release has added another four fragrances, in what has been titled the Atelier d'Orient collection.
Shanghai Lily, all the fragrances have an oriental flavour to them, this is obvious from the moniker "Atelier d'Orient", and this floral fragrance is one of two of the four specifically for women, it is spicy, and features floral notes, olibanum and vanilla.
Plum Japonais, is also aimed only at women, and is a fruity floral fragrance, as the name suggest it features Japanese plum, it is sweet, and a little sour, and includes bergamot and vanilla in its make up.
Fleur De Chine, is aimed at both men and women, it includes magnolia, orchid and vanilla, and manages to be a dominantly floral fragrance, which although is designed to be unisex, is a little to floral to sit well on most men.
Rive D'Ambre, is the final offering in the new selection, and is also designed to be for both men and women, of all the fragrances, this is the one which could be considered to be slightly more masculine, it is a fresh and clean fragrance, with citrus and amber notes, it includes bergamot and mandaran oils, alongside patchouli oil, and a hint of spice, making it more versatile than the other fragrances.
The Atelier d'Orient collection is available now in 50ml and 250ml sizes, and costs £135.00 for the 50ml sizes, and £300 for the 250ml sizes.
