MB&F 10th Anniversary Robot Clock With L'Epee 1839.

Teased at Baselworld 2015 to mixed reactions from bloggers and fans, the MB&F "Melchior" is now available to order for delivery in May, with all specs and details available.  The 12" tall novelty clock is anything but novelty with regards to construction and quality.  Made from stainless steel and brass, the Melchior represents a collaboration between MB&F and L'Epee 1839, Switzerland's only high-end clock maker.

The piece, designed to commemorate the 10th anniversary of MB&F is a quintessential mans toy.  Indeed, the motto engraved upon it states,  "A creative adult is a child who survived".

Technically speaking, it features a 40-day power reserve, jumping hours, double-retrograde seconds and sweeping minutes.  The heart of the device is displayed under the glass dome "head".  The clock, designed by Xin Wang, also has both a moveable head, and torso, re-inforcing the sense of playfulness.

The price of each of the 99 numbered pieces is £28,000, and it is available in either monochrome, or PVD coated black.  Buy two! do a battle between the forces of light and dark with a friend!
