Christian Louboutin has shown the next stage in their cosmetics product range. Following on from the success of their nail polish line, they have announced a range of lipsticks.
The first collection will be inspired by Queen Nefertiti and the Art Deco movement, and will comprise 38 shades in three different textures.
However, with Louboutin's cosmetics, the star is the packaging. This was certainly the case with the stilletto inspired nail-polish, which sported ludicrously long caps, and here again, with the lipstick collection, they have gone all out.
Decked out in either gold or black and gold, and studded with small crowns on the caps, each lipstick is designed to be worn as a piece of jewellery, a pendant to be precise.
Quite who would want to wear lipstick as a pendant we cannot imagine. However, the product exists, and will no doubt be as inexplicably successful as the nail polish was. Available from September, each ultra luxury lipstick will cost £75.
