Sennheiser Orpheus Reborn Headphones.

Back in 1991 Sennheiser shocked the world of both high-end audio and consumer products by releasing an super luxury set of headphones with a valve amplifier.  Back then in the 90's it was considered expensive, costing some £9,000.  However, now that Sennheiser have decided to re-release it, £9,000 in todays world just doesn't seem very expensive anymore.

In this post 2010 world, full of billionaires and millionaires, the Orpheus reborn will command the eye watering price tag of £38,000 per set.  Like the original, it has its own valve amplifier, and is very limited edition.

On the technology side of things it has a frequency response of 8hz - 10,000hz, so in other words, frequencies that even bats can't hear.  Meaning also frequencies that we humans will be unable to hear.  But the thing is, if your spending £38,000 on a set of headphones, audio quality is unlikely to be your top consideration.
