Lanvin reinvents the casual trainer again for S/S 2011 with the plimsole in honeycomb suede.

Since Lanvin's Rebirth, it has firmly established itself as a brand which produces super luxe sportswear and edgy evening wear, that can combine to form an overall look that can transport from day to night and back again with superlative ease.

One particular item they have won several fans for is their trainers, their designers have been taking the humble plimsole, high top and mid top and adding a dollop of luxury, then trimming it with small details that make them stand out as something really special.

An example of this in past seasons has been the super popular standard plimsole, they made the body matt suede, and the toe cap and accent details all a sympathetic shade of patent leather, an inspired combination which essentially says casual elegant luxury at the highest level.

For Spring/Summer 2011 Lanvin have produced a new versions of the sneakers, many of they quite nice, the real stand out piece, and one set to be another instant classic, is this low top sneaker.  sand honeycomb textured suede body, subtle shade of gold coloured diamond stamped suede toe cap, metallic gold sole with white accent.

Available now from Lanvin stores priced at £350.
