Released by DKNY in the last few days, this new fragrance and concept represents both a benchmark for the brand, and a genuinely altruistic charitable initiative. What DKNY have done, is to request the Celebrity Jewellery Designer Martin Katz, to make a bottle, the Value of which is $1 million, encrusted with various different diamonds, and made of precious metals, the details of which we will discuss in a moment. This bottle will tour the world, in shows from London to Moscow, where peple will be able to see the worlds most expensive perfume bottle, and then, when the tour is complete, it will be auctioned off, the profits from which will be donated to Action against Hunger, the worldwide charity fighting against hunger.
The bottle design has followed the concept of the new york skyline, on the apple shaped recepticle, with a base that has a world map design, all elements are made up from 2,909 brilliant cut diamonds, and each country on the base has a fancy coloured diamond from that country of origin, including a Tourmaline from Brazil, a Oval Cabochon from Sri Lanka and 15 Vivid Pink Diamonds from australia, the base metal is 14 carat solid Yellow and White Gold, and the proverbial icing on the cake is a 2.43 carat Flawless Vivid Yellow Canary Diamond, sitting next to the DKNY golden Delicious Logo in diamonds.
