Prada Mountain capsule Collection goes lives on their website.

Now available online at www.prada.com, and in all their stores, is a new/retargeted capsule collection titled "mountain collection", drawing its inspiration presumably from the harsh and unforgiving climate of mountaineering type environment, and with little or nothing actually to do with those environments.

We say new/retargeted, as although some of the products, indeed most of them, have been seen in this collection for the first time, such as the long faux fur gloves, the snowy camo looking leather bags, and a couple of the faux fur offerings, most of the other stuff either is so close to other products previously produced to be almost unrecognisable, or, in the case for example of some of the more dramatic faux fur bags, or the eponymous nylon leather bags, and some of the mountain boots, are items which were released by Prada at the start of this season, and now have been stuck into this collection as being "mountainy".

This marketing trick aside, what we see in the 'new' collection, is a selection of winter influenced items, a large slice of faux fur, both on bags and gloves, a few utility type nylon leather backpacks, and some mountain type boots, whether or not you would be inclined to use these to go mountain climbing i really cant say, the value of faux fur in a high altitude environment has not yet been subjected to scientific testing, however, levity aside, the collection is satisfying enough to give the purchaser a mountain "feeling" if purchased.

Available now, please see a selection of images below, prices vary, the faux fur bags range from £450 - £750, the nylon bags around £400, the faux boots £750, the faux fur gloves are £250, the glasses around £175, the boots £350 - £450.
