It is no secret that we are not tremendous fans of Aspinal of London, we feel they are one of those Pseudo brands which ape an established image to hawk their goods to an unsuspecting public, gravitas is earned, not purchased with ad campaigns, and certainly, after a generation or so, even Aspinal can be regarded as established, but not yet. Not. Yet.
However, we also feel that credit should be given where it is due, and with this in mind we refer to an earlier post of ours, where we applauded Aspinal's Womens travel bag range, the 'candy' collection, for its generous dimensions, sensible build, colourful and playful colour options, and reasonable pricing.
But as nice as the 'candy' range was, and as much as they may try to include it in the Man's section of their website, a brave man indeed it would have to be to choose a Patent pink, of Leopard print rolling luggage piece, and so all those excellent plus points were lost sadly, until now.
Aspinal have now released a far more masculine version of the 'candy', called the 'revival' range, available in either Matt black calf, of matt black calf with tan leather accents, it features the exact same dimensions as the 'candy' 16" x 13" x 8", 4" handle drop, telescopic handle which extends up to 26.5", and weighs only 3.27kg, meaning it fully conforms to all IATA and BAA regulations for carry on luggage. Also, it has several useful interior and external pockets, and is all finished off with attractive equestrian accents on the front.
The price for all this is still surprisingly reasonable at only £895.
