Porsche Design clearly Define their ranges with Vehicle like Definitions.

It is a truism that too many brands have far too many diffusion lines, offshoots, variety ranges, and various other smaller own branded selections, specifically designed to capitalise on monetising brand awareness, such as the now ubiquitous Kid's ranges being seen at every luxury marque.  Frankly, it can become confusing.

Trust a German Brand to make everything nice and transparent, Porsche Design have been merrily plodding along now for some 15 years, making everything from kettles to mobile phones, slowly, inexorably expanding their brand, with boutiques, collaborations and fashion ranges, and if you visit their website at http://www.porsche-design.com/international/en/products you will see in a revamp, they have smartly laid out every product with a car like serial number for each product range.

The ranges are as follows, and we feel it really allows the consumer to easily select products, and easily refer back to them whenever they need to.

P'1000 - Fashion Range, including Men's clothing, Shoes, Scarves and small clothing Accessories.

P'2000 - Luggage Range, Including all seven of Porsche Design's Luggage ranges, both for Business, travel and day to day purposes.

P'3000 - Accessories, Including a wide range of accessories, such as Smoking Accessories, Pens, Perfumes, Small leather Good's, Jewellery, and "Useful Things" such as the image above, showing a chopstick set and rest.

P'5000 - Sport, Principally a vehicle for retailing the advanced Porsche Design Trainers, it also includes sports clothing, such as tracksuits, and technologically developed moisture wicking fabrics.

P'6000 - Timepieces, Includes the Porsche Design Watch Ranges, Digital and Analogue for Fashion and Sports.

P'7000 - Home, Includes the Kitchen ranges, from the original small kitchen electronics which made the brand so popular, such as kettles, toasters and mixers, right up to newer additions, such as fully fitted kitchen worktops.  Also in the Home range are their award winning knife ranges, and the new lighting ranges, pictured above.

P'8000 - Eyewear, includes the Porsche Design Eyewear ranges, the well known sunglasses, slightly less well known but ever growing corrective frame ranges, and a newer addition, reading glasses with up to +2.50 diopters.

P'9000 - Electronics, the final range from Porche Design includes their Solidly designed and ultra secure La Cie Collaborative HardDrive, both Desktop and Portable, and whatever mobile phone is currently their star contender, at present the blackberry P'9981, redesigned Blackberry 9900.
