Ralph Lauren Purple Label offer budget Made to Measure Shirt Service.

Ralph Lauren's top end luxury Range has gone through quite a few transitions since first it began back in 1997, while the prices have steadily risen, predictably well ahead of any perceived inflation, behind the scenes, the suit maker has changed from Henry Poole to St Andrews, the Shoe Range has changed from Crockett and Jones to Edward Green, a Glasses range made by the Persol Parent company Luxottica has been added, and various other changes have occurred.

Referring again to the price, one element that has remained is the exceptionally high quality shirts, made from a minimum of 120 ply cotton, these shirts feature several shirt tailors details which make them stand out amongst the clamour of ordinary shirts available on the market and at £280 per shirt as a starting price, rising to a high of £370 for the highest quality cotton shirt.

Now however, anyone wishing to purchase a shirt from Ralph Lauren's Purple Label Range, may do well to pause before choosing from the off the peg selections, as they now offer a made to measure service.  Made to measure services are typically higher than the standard price of any given shit fabric, and additionally require a minimum order of say 5 - 10, Ralph Lauren have chosen to allow individuals to purchase single shirts in made to measure from a selection of cloths, and charge only the standard price it would cost for off the peg, therefore meaning that shirt prices start from £280.

It could certainly be said that £280 for a shirt is not really a budget price, but considering there is no minimum order, and considering the cost is the same as off the peg, it does at least mean that it wont cost any more for a made to measure shirt.
