Louis Vuitton Collaborate With Ambush To Release A MP3 Player, the LV Button.

News here is not Louis Vuitton working with Ambush, after all Kim Jones,  head of their Menswear section, is well known for having a close association with Verbal, the brands head, the news is, Louis Vuittons first real stab at the digital revolution, sure they have released untold numbers of cases for technological devices, some of which were complete fly by night failiures, such as the Bang & Olufsen Serene, but this is the first time LV have released a genuine item of digital media.

The item itself is actually more of an accessory that play music than a genuine digital music player, as what we have here is a small wearable music player, designed specifically to be worn as a button, emblazoned on the front with the Louis Vuitton Cup logo in the colours seen alot in this Spring Summer collection, Red, Blue, White and black, with the Ambush logo incorporated on the front, and the controls on the rear of the device.

Rather than having a media capacity however, this device merely comes pre installed with a small selection of songs selected by Kim Jones and Verbal, you cannot add, delete or modify the content, so in essence, is it truly nothing more than an accessory, it's sort of like a CD in another form really.  The devices are limited to 30 and unfortunately are only available in Japan, so it's unlikely they will be seen over here.  Still, it is an interesting departure for Louis Vuitton all the same, and could herald the beginning of a new age of either several of these disposable wearable music players being released year after year, or, an actual proper selection of technological gadgets.
