Louis Vuitton have decided to release that stalwart of weekend and light packed long haul travel, the keepall 50, in their most luxurious leather, Nomade. The new travel bag doesn't really break any ground as such, but then again, you don't got tampering with an absolute classic like the Keepall. All the usual suspects are present, Brass Hardware, side slip pocket, spacious yet practical for carry on, brass padlock ad keys, double zips, inside zip pocket and Nomade Leather Luggage tag.
Two decisions which are quite difficult to fathom, firstly, they have listed it within the Womens luggage, a strange decision since this is a firmly masculine item, both in design and interpretation in Nomade Leather, and secondly, they have decided to only release it in the handheld version, they are not offering the option to purchase the shoulder strap for this baby. Individually these choices are odd, but taken together they are supremely strange, as not giving a shoulder strap means it will be more difficult to carry, and also, hand held is a more masculine way to carry it.
Available only in the US at present, it is priced at £3500, and can be purchased in boutiques and online.
