Tegra Lite is made from a totally new material, one which was developed by Milliken, the Global manufacturing company, for use in Body Armour for both Nascar Racing Cars, and NFL football players.  the name Tegra Lite, comes from the name of the material itself "Tegris", the Registered and Trademarked material from Milliken, which is exclusively available to Tumi for Luggage.  The material is a Thermoplastic Composite, which is both durable, and impact resistant, and most importantly ultra light.  Combined with Tumi's Patented X-Brace 45 handle system, the case is light, strong, and exceptionally safe.
