The New York based Perfume brand Bond No9, has been pumping out fragrances for some years now, their biggest seller is the I Love New York range, with a simple and punchy star shaped bottle design, the product is designed to catch your attention, and makes no bones about it's allusion to americana.
This new release is somewhat of a head scratcher, on the one hand, it's obvious what it is all about, the product is called "I Love New York - Earth Day' and has been made to commemorate the 42nd Earth Day, the city of New Yorks commitment to Conservation, and the brand Bond No9's commitment to conservation, as they have been recycling agressively since 2007, this is all further cemented by the fact the bottle is green, an allusion to eco friendly ness, and the big green apple.
However, the curious thing is, there seems to be no mention of it being a limited edition product, which is odd, since creating a permanant product range to celebrate a numbered day makes the product seem dated as soon as that period has ended, especially a fragrance product.
In any case, the perfume includes notes of orchid, tuberose, oris and sandalwood, with a musk base, and it retails for £130 for 100ml, it is available exclusively in Harrods at present, although it may be available elsewhere later.
Is that Smell of NYC?????
