Following Faberge's new owners revamping the brand, a subject written about back in late 2011 here, and the success of the brand's high jewellery collections, their new creative director, Katharina Flohr, has developed and released a collection of Silver and Enamel Objets D'art and drinkware for the home.
The collection includes tumblers, shot glasses, and a candelabra, all strongly influenced by Russian Constructivist designs from specifically the period of 1917, echoing the world which gave Carl Faberge his final inspirations for his very last collections.
The British Goldsmith Simon Benney was chosen to interpret the designs, as if was felt his modernist styling best demonstrated an ability to interpret the designs conceived. Each tumbler is made from 250 grams of heavy gauge Silver, and the candelabra features a fluid wrap around enameling technique.
The collection will be available from Faberge boutiques worldwide from June 2012.
