Diddo Concept Artist Creates the "Cure For Greed"

Stepping away from pure consumer luxury goods, and into the world of consumer luxury art, actually, not quite so big a leap as you might expect in todays world, but there you go.  Diddo, the Dutch Conceptual artist famous for his ironic and tongue in cheek poke at the world of luxury consumerism, (Champagne extinguisher?  Jewellery Weapons?  High Fashion protection?  All Diddo), has produced this new work.

The piece is titled "TheCure For Greed", and is meant to highlight and crystalise our strange fall as a society into greedy, money obsessed individuals, it is after all a strange thing to behold, that as a people what is supposed to be a sin, greed, has become an absolute part of our daily lives without even a second thought.

The piece in fact comes across more as an amusing talking piece which could be imagined mounted in a frame in a wealthy persons house, understandable considering the popularity of Diddo's work that he might want to cash in on it.  There is some genuine love behind this work however, the process that was required to create it took four months in fact, no mean feat by any measure, the video for which can be found at this link HERE

What we have here is a solid gold syringe, and a bottle of Ink in the shape of a serum vial which has been made from pure $100 bill ink, utilising the special process indicated in the video at the link above which utilised $10,000 making the amount provided in the 5ml vial, all presented in a custom made mahogany or walnut box, with two 24k gold needles, interested? contact Diddo at bydiddo.com.
