Studio Voltaire, the highly regarded contemporary art space in SW4, have in collaboration with a number of high profile and less well known artists launched a pop up shop in Adams Row Mayfair W1, selling a wide range of one off and limited edition pieces to support, and raise money for, Studio Voltaire.
The pop up shop will be titled "House Of Voltaire", and opened just 6 days ago on the 21st of November. It will sell ordinary "Souvenier" type pieces, such as tote bags and mugs, tea towels and t-shirts, all branded with House of Voltaire, and additionally they will sell limited edition pieces, such as the limited edition tote bag and t-shirt shown here, along with strictly limited runs of art prints, which as the caveat on the website reads "prices will increase as editions sell out".
Prices for the basic pieces are very reasonable, £5 for a simple tote bag, £6 for a china mug, and prices for the prints is initially reasonable, £35 for the one pictured here up to a maximum of £2500 for one of a kind pieces. You had better move fast if you have any interest in visiting this place however, as barring any sudden change of attitude, it will be closing on the 15th of December.
