First, an apology to our regular readers who are used to good old Pound Sterling for all price indications, but there appears to be no analogue of this price, and the product is a world exclusive, available only at www.gilt.com a U.S. based website, so if you want it you will have to head over there and pay $450, plus import taxes etc to get it to dear old Blighty.
Now onto the product. What you are buying is a limited edition (5000), all steel Starbucks card, etched with a one off design, preloaded with $400 of credit, pre approved at Gold level for one year, and ready for use, meaning therefore that after the $400 runs out you can continue topping it up, and using it as "your" card.
It is an interesting gift concept, and being in time for christmas it could be an excellent gift for a coffee/starbucks lover, aside from this however, we feel it's pretty useless, frankly most people prefer using the app's for paying nowadays, and if not, you just having a ticking time-bomb of worry in your wallet after all, losing your wallet or purse is stressful enough, as you lose any money, cards or potential memories or photos you might have in there, imagine if you also have a one of a kind irreplacable Starbucks card gone forever? Not a exciting prospect whatsoever.
