Chivas Regal 18 By Pininfarina Extra.

There is a very high chance you will have heard of Pininfarina, the 1930's established automotive design company behind some of the worlds most luxurious automobiles, including Ferrari's, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Audi, Peugeot, BMW, Volvo and many others.  What you may be slightly less familiar with is Pininfarina Extra, a company founded in 2006 specifically with the mandate of design products not in the transport industry.

Now, in collaboration with Diageo owned brand Chivas Regal, they are producing a series of three pieces, a limited edition drinks holder, one with glasses and one large sculpture.

The "Level One" is a metal work with wood inlay container, designed to be displayed and enjoyed, costing £90 per edition, and limited to 40,000 worldwide, the second version, called "Level Two" is again a metal work exterior, but with a solid heavy wood inlay, reminiscent of the Chivas Regal wood casks, and comes with two lead crystal glasses, each edition of this costs £360, and it is limited to 3650 worldwide.  Finally the dramatic wood and metal sculpture, the metal shaped like an automobile, and the wood to remind us again of Chivas Regals barrels, only five of these are available worldwide and it is price on application, for commission only, the originals are for display purposes.

All editions are available only at travel retail, and Level One has started the rounds already, Level Two will be available from the end of January 2013, and the sculptures are at undisclosed locations worldwide.
