Porsche Design P'3135 Solid.

Porsche Design have created a new luxury pen to compliment the ever growing range of products the brand now produce, it starts to seem like there is almost nothing Porsche Design will not turn their hand to now, with Hookah's, Home Appliances, Clothing, Footwear, Lighters, Mobile Phones and Luggage all forming parts of their portfolio, and with the launch of the new "P'3135 Solid" pen, their pen range may start to be taken a little more seriously.

The P'3135 Solid takes its name from the fact it is cast from a single piece of 99.99 percent pure titanium, the body has then been coated with a scratchproof PVD coating.  The nib is made of 18-cara gold, and has been coated with a rodium plate, then engraved with the brand's logo.  ANd if all that gorgeousness was not enough, to make sure the clean lines are not disturbed, rather than a cap or lid, it is supplied with an aluminium tube to carry it round in, you unscrew the cap of the tube and slide the pen out to use it.

As with many Porsche Design pieces, the pen has a trick up its sleeve or in this case it is the mechanism to remove the convertor, the user must apply gentle pressure to the top of the pen, then unscrew and slide out the convertor for filling, again, preserving the clean lines of the pen.

The pen is available now at Porsche Design outlets and dealers, and costs £800 per piece.
