Converse and Martin Margiela's collaboration has finally been released, teased in the video above, it has been revealed to be a reworking of the Chuck Taylor all star and the Jack Purcell trainer with a paint treatment.
the trainers have literally been dipped in paint, the concept is, you wear the trainers, and over time the paint will gradually flake off to reveal the colour underneath.
They will be available in either hi-top or low top red or navy and a special vintage sunflower yellow
only available in Maison Martin Margiela stores.
The treatment really allows both brands to shine, and is yet another example of Maison Martin Margiela's ability to take simple streetwear items, and add a touch of Parisian luxury, in a way few other brands could.
The trainers wil cost £170 per pair, and will be available worldwide from September 12th, in Maison Martin Margiela's stores, Converse first string stores, and high end retailers.
