Tag Heuer Monaco V4 Tourbillon.

Tag Heuer are a much Maligned brand in the luxury watch world.  Never able to quite live down the 1980's plastic watch debacle which was the Tag brand taking over the Heuer manufacture.
in the minds of true collectors, they are the sort of brand which occupies "top marque" status in out-of-town mall jewellers such as "Swag" and such like, but is a bottom tier brand in all other cases.

This is a terrible pity, as for over 10 years now the Tag Heuer which we all knew and hated is a thing of the past, and it is now a serious player, producing very high end luxury timepieces, which mostly hark back to the glory days of Heuer.  The Monaco is such a piece, and the V4 Monaco will always be known as the worlds first belt driven watch, and with a £50,000 price tag, not a watch to be sniffed at.

Now Tag Heuer have announced their latest masterpiece, the Monaco V4 Tourbillon.  They have essentially done it again, this is the worlds first, belt driven Tourbillon wrist watch.  The partly skeletonised dial reveals the complex movement, and the titanium carbide strap, clasp and crown are complemented by a black alligator strap.

This £85,000 beauty is a thing to behold.  It is just a pity it will be sniffed at by most collectors because it is "Just a Tag".  Never mind, perhaps by the next generation Tag Heuer will be taken seriously.
