Fashion designers moving into make-up is a bit of a trend of late, only last month we announced the Christian Louboutin nail polish collection, which is only the latest in a long line of brands cashing in on the beauty market.
Now MAC Cosmetics is releasing a designer themed collection, designed by none other that Nepalese American wunderkind designer Prabal Gurung. Gurung's collection is inspired by artists Damien Hirst and Sylvia Fleury, and considers their subversive take on beauty. With this in mind there are 14 pieces, including bronzing powder, eye-shadow duo's, lipsticks, eye-pencils, cream colour base and a buffer brush. The packaging is designed to be reminiscent of 1920's jeweled miaudieres.
The collection will be available world-wide from the end of September, adn will cost from £15 - £60.
