It seems the trend of luxury fashion houses producing running "style" shoes will not be dying anytime soon. Spurred on by the fact that almost everyone seems to be wearing a more sporty style lately, either because they want to keep fit, or want people to think they keep fit, fashion houses are cashing in on this apparent new "keep fit" fad.
And it is this last group, those who want people to think they are keeping fit who are, on the balance of probabilities, more likely to be attracted to a running "style" trainer. After all, why would anyone, with an ounce of common sense, want to eschew the billions, nigh on trillion dollars of research by established fitness brands into producing running trainers, and buy a pair of trainers conceived merely in the mind of a designer, with no technical specialisation, which cost three to four times as much?
Whatever the case, we present Lanvin's new effort in this area, the Sprint trainer, in four colourways for Fall/Winter 2014/2015, and costing £440 per pair.
