Johnnie Walker Oliver Sweeney Brogues.

For the 2014 holiday season Oliver Sweeney have collaborated with Johnnie Walker to produce a limited edition pair of brogues.  The brogues combine Oliver Sweeney's expertise in making shoes with Johnnie Walker's expertise in making whisky. 

It's easy to imagine that a collaboration such as this would leave consumers with little more than a pair of shoes signed with Johnnie Walker, and a pretty box.  However the collaborators were not prepared to be mundane on this occasion, and went full out, creating an elegant slim tan brogue, with deep red soles, and slots on the soles, into which miniature bottles of Johnnie Walker Red Label are placed.

Needless to say, you have to prove you are over 18 years of age in order to own these shoes, and at £295 per pair, they are not an inexpensive novelty item. However, they certainly make a fun novelty  luxury gift.
