Goldgenie Retail Store In UAE.

A pseudo-brand often maligned by us here, Goldgenie, has deemed itself successful enough to open a retail store.  This comes as a surprise to us, as its products are little more than gold plated versions of existing consumer goods.  It's line-up includes gold iPhone's, gold bike, gold computers, solid gold private commissions, but, in essence it is little more than a gilding company with aspirations.

The first worldwide store will be located in the new iMall in UAE, a location chosen according to the founder due to the fact that a large proportion of its clientele are middle eastern, and according to first reports, the new store is already doing very well, with high ranking members of UAE's elite making enquiries and purchases.

Could this herald a worldwide roll-out of Goldgenie stores?  The beginning of a new wave of gold accessories harking back to the 70's and 80's?  We certainly hope not.
