Following our post located here back in december of 2010, where we mentioned an ongoing plan of Jimmy Choo's to re-release a mens collection after nine and a half years.
the images above show the direction of their new collection, which is a simple selection of smart, casual and trainer style footwear. Each shoe is named after different London landmarks, so there is for example a Fulham casual loafer in suede, Belgravia and Motcombe Trainers and Mayfair and Draycott formal shoes.
The overall feel of the collection is strikingly similar to Lanvin's footwear, with the Motcombe Hi-Top looking suspiciously like Lanvin's signature shoe, and all their formal wear looking quite close to the range that Lanvin debuted in H & M, yet a little less shiny. Whether this is a coincedence, after all there are a limited amount of forms in Footwear, or a result of the fact that it is the collaboration with H & M which inspired Jimmy Choo to re-Release mens shoes, and while there they sort of peeked-over--the-fence as it were and thought, oh those shoes look nice we'll copy them, is farely irrelevant now. The facts remain that Jimmy Choo's Mens shoes are now available in store for the Autumn/Winter 2011 - 2012 season, they start from £330, and depending on their success will be a permanent fixture.
Jimmy Choo have released their first collection of men’s shoes since the company was founded in 1996. The mens shoe collection is a mix of formal and casual shoes named after different London streets and area’s. There are the Belgravia and Motcombe shoes which are elegant sneakers, the Mayfair and Draycott shoes are formal whilst the Fulham shoes are casual loafers. The Jimmy Choo men’s collection is available exclusively from Jimmy Choo stores.
Can't believe that's Jimmy Choo's men's collection. There is no his colour! Such a boring design anywhere easily can get with better price and quality!
