Modern day living for most people, and especially for those living in urban environments, means many compromises have to be made, specifically within the area of home furniture, a lack of space means that three piece suite's and office furniture the like of which would have been commonly seen in the past are no longer practical, additionally, advances in technology mean we prefer to have things more accessible, as opposed to needing to move to different areas of the home to do different tasks.
The new MyWorld sofa from Cassina, and designed by Phillipe Starck responds to both concerns admirably, the couch warrior can enjoy the convenience of everything at their fingertips, and those pressed for space can feel that they did not compromise, but rather that they have an attractive all in one solution to their relaxation and work needs.
What we have here essentially is a luxury sofa, with privacy dividers, a side table with internal power outlets, a USB charger, Duracell Powermat wireless charging pad, integrated speakers, light, work desk, headboard and a large space for standing books or other items.
The MyWorld is available in three seater, or if you are really pressed for space, two seater versions, and can be produced in either leather or fabric, pricing is not yet available for this, as it is not due to be released until the end of June worldwide, however, based on the cost of their current ranges, we would expect that something of this sort will be in the £8,000 - £12,000 price range.
