Chanel Sous Le Signe Du Lion Haute Joaillerie Collection.

The time has come for the big houses to release their 2013 Haute Joaillerie collections, and from Chanel, one of the most respected, if not the oldest, Haute Joaillerie houses, comes a stunning collection, "Sous Le Signe Du Lion".

This collection is inspired by the sign of the Lion, Leo, the birth sign of Coco Chanel, and a major inspiration throughout Chanel's life.  Several stunning pieces comprise this collection, which as expected from Chanel, is a masterpiece of design and concept.  First up we have the above large size diamond bracelet, with a central lion face design.

The Lion Rugissant ring features a white gold diamond encrusted lion ready to pounce, around an onyx and white gold band.

This Lion Celeste brooch in white gold has both white and black diamonds, and shows the lion with a paw on a globe of the world, which is a recreation of the Lion Of Venice, which was found in Madmoiselle Chanel's apartment.

This oversized fabulously encrusted diamond lion face ring in white gold carries the essence of Chanel's beloved lion motif writ large.

This Lion Royal necklace is in some ways the flagship piece of the collection, in platinum, white gold, and encrusted with over 500 diamonds, the drop chain section is also entirely encrusted with diamonds.

The mosaic style necklace is also set entirely with diamonds, and with the exception of the Lion Royal necklace it is the most heavily encrusted piece, with some 488 diamonds, and a hidden lion face pattern in the centre of the necklace.

Finally, this brooch uses the same mosaic pattern and hidden lion face used in the necklace above, and is also cast from white gold, they are designed to be worn as a set, and complement each other perfectly.

Prices are upon application, and all the pieces will be available from Chanel's Haute Joaillerie boutique at the end of July 2013.
