In Luxury Perfume news, Chanel have released a limited edition version of it's most iconic fragrance, Chanel No.5. Famous for being the only thing Marilyn Monroe wore to bed, it has surprisingly managed to remain popular with generation after generation of Women.
The new bottling's are a cosmetic adjustment only containing the original formaula with no alterations or additions, the difference comes in two forms, firstly, the flacons themselves are specially crafted by an artisanal glassmaker from crystal, and are crafted in a mould, then hand finished, and presented in an artisanal hand crafted case.
Secondly, there is an option to purchase a large size 7.5 oz, or 221ml size, or, a massively oversized 30 oz, or 881ml size. The prices for these offerings are £1366 for the 'smaller' size and £2732 for the oversized model.
We feel that the 7.5 oz model is certainly expensive, but that it is at least possible to be considered for the Women who particularly desires a luxury holder for her perfume, however, the oversized version is not an acceptable proposition, as perfume degrades over time, and unless a consumer wishes to shower in the stuff, it would start to lose its potency before it is empty.
Bothe versions are available now from Chanel Boutiques and online.
