For Leica's latest collaborative effort, they have taken the D-Lux 6, and given it a facelift inspired by G-Star Raw, the edgy Dutch clothing and accessories brand. The release is a cosmetic adjustment only, but if you are looking to find a D-Lux 6 which doesn't look entirely average, then this might be a possibility.
The camera feels a bit like the D-Lux 5 titanium, with a rugged centre strip, but on the D-Lux 6's larger frame, the elements combine quite well, and give a definitely urban feel, this is echoed in the exclusive accessories, a brown leather case with the same rugged feel, and large brown leather camera strap, all with the G-Star Raw logo emblazoned.
In case you did'nt know it, the D-Lux 6 has a 1." CMOS image sensor, 24 to 90mm zoom, Automatic mode, full-HD video mode, adjustable macro settings, and lens width options, and a 3" LCD display, as stated, this edition does not have any extra technical features.
The LEica D-Lux Edition By G-Star RAW, will be available from the end of June 2013, and costs £850 per set including VAT, in the UK it is available only from the Leica Mayfair store.
