Tumi introduce a new program for customising their bag's titled 'accent your alpha'


Tumi has been on rise for several decades, along with the fact that pretty much every serious business traveller in the world knows they are the weapon of choice, both for reliability, sturdiness, strength and functionality, they also manage to have an excellent design team ensuring they look very elegant.  Over the years many notable business world figures have used tumi, along with various pop culture references - Patrick Bateman in American Psycho carried one- and most recently the worlds premier statesman Barack Obama carries one.


With all these notable figures supporting the brand, and along with both its continued innovation with regards to the development of revoloutionary security features and fabrics, they are also quietly pushing their brand higher and higher on the luxury scale, as we have discussed here.  However one thing is missing from this outstanding brand's reliable and attractive kit, is individuality, all their items are somewhat ubiquitous, its almost like a turn of the century Henry Ford, any colour so long as its black.


This lack of individuality is set to be rectified now, as Tumi have announced a new program of customization, known as 'Accent your Alpha'for its flagship Alpha range of luggage, they are offering a choice of finish, monogram patch colour choices, luggage tags colour choices, zipper pull colour choices and many other little touches to make you smile when you look at your mean machine.

No information on costs yet, but it will no doubt at a small premium to an already reasonably high priced product, but then again, what price exclusivity?  Last time we heard it was priceless.
